About Mural OVM
A little pop of ethnic colour fits into any home and always garners attention. For those of you who always thought about that empty wall above your sideboard, or the small puja room that misses a magnificent picture of the Lord, or the small wall hangings or home decor items that you wished were in your favourite ethnic designs, look no further. Whether you choose grandeur or simplicity, Mural OVM has the right blend of artistic treasures put together by the gifted artist, Mrs Vijayalakshmi M from Trivandrum, in Kerala, India.
Artist
Mrs. Vijayalakshmi M was born and raised in Tamil Nadu and had a penchant for the arts since childhood. On getting married she relocated to Trivandrum in Kerala and while balancing her responsibilities as a housewife and mother, sharpened her skills over the years in different styles of art like Mural, Tanjore, Watercolor and Abstract paintings.
She has added more than a hundred paintings to her repertoire over a decade. She also conducts classes on different painting styles in a pursuit to pass on this gift to others - guided by a motive to keep alive the teachings of many famous artists she has been fortunate to learn from.
Though well versed in different styles, her forte is Mural and Tanjore paintings. She is skilled in Murals using natural color as well as acrylic.
She is married to Shri. SP Murugan of SP Group (SP Fort Hospital / SP Grand Days), a scion of one of the respected business families in Trivandrum, and is a mother to two daughters.
